The American Association of Foreclosure Information Providers (AAFIP) realizes
the tremendous responsibility that accompanies when
working with homeowners are facing the loss of their
homes. This important relationship demands the
highest level of technical skills, sound judgment, and
integrity from the men and women that we certify
as specialists in foreclosure prevention.
The AAFIP takes pride in the training
it provides to develop dedicated professionals into
foreclosure prevention specialists. Armed with knowledge
and dedicated to helping their clients avoid foreclosure,
our certified members are foreclosure prevention specialists.
In addition to completing a course of
study provided by the institute, our specialists are
also bound by a professional code of ethics that puts

information. Details concerning homeownership
and financing needs are tailored to the specific
needs of individual clients. There is no generic
template for success.

between fact and opinion when making recommendations
to clients. Members’ recommendations are
based on a professional evaluation of the
homeowner’s needs and supported with appropriate
documentation.

Prioritize continuing
education. Our members
strive to maintain and improve their technical skills
and professional knowledge so they are up-to-the-minute
with regard to legislation and legal practices applicable
to their specific region. Their knowledge helps
protect homeowners by ensuring that any actions
on the part of the client or the specialist are
in legal compliance.
